Miami Heat Receive: F Jerami Grant
Detroit Pistons Receive: F/G Duncan Robinson, G Max Strus, C Omer Yurtseven
This hypothetical deal was put together by Greg Swartz over at Bleacher Report. He put together a deal for each team in the league ahead of the trade deadline. This trade between the Miami Heat and Detroit Pistons was put together from the Heat perspective.
Miami would be ecstatic if a deal like this were actually possible. Jerami Grant would help elevate the team to separate themselves from the rest of the bunched-up Eastern Conference.
There are five teams separated by 1.5 games and nine separated by six games. Whoever of that bunch makes a move could cement themselves as top dog in the conference.
To land Grant in South Beach, the Heat have to part ways with Duncan Robinson, whom they signed to the biggest contract for an undrafted player ever this past offseason. His 3-point shooting will be missed, but the team’s ceiling is much higher after this deal.
