Does this trade make sense for the New York Knicks?

At this point, the New York Knicks need to make some kind of a big move at the trade deadline and their front-office knows this. The Knicks only have 30 games left on their schedule and with 19 of them against teams currently with a winning record, they are going to have their work cut out for themselves if they are to even have a shot at earning a playoff spot via the play-in tournament!

Julius Randle has proven this season that he cannot be the face of the franchise and while R.J. Barrett shows promise as a potential future All-Star talent, New York just needs more consistent offensive threats.

Spencer Dinwiddie has his own problems on the offensive-end of the floor in terms of shooting this season, which could be a problem for the Knicks, but his playmaking abilities are exactly what they need.

When you watch the Knicks play, they simply lack offensive firepower because they really do not have anyone that can create plays for others. Julius Randle can bulldoze his way to the rim and R.J. Barrett gets hot shooting at times, but nobody really opens up space on the floor.

Because of his ability to drive to the rim and not be careless with the basketball, Spencer Dinwiddie could be the perfect blend of experience and playmaking for the Knicks to add in their backcourt. New York is open to moving both Walker and Burks at the deadline for a player that can help right now, which is why this trade could make sense for the Knicks.
