Would this trade make sense for the Sacramento Kings?
The Sacramento Kings hold the longest playoff drought in the NBA right now. While they entered the season with hopes of ending that, it doesn’t look good for them right now. Instead of trying to add pieces, selling some of their veterans could be the best pathway to success moving forward.
With De’Aaron Fox and Tyrese Haliburton looking like future All-Stars, adding young talent with potential should be a top priority. They’d be getting back three young players who could end up being real contributors for them moving forward.
Getting Coby White may seem a bit counterintuitive, considering he plays the guard position, but when you have the chance to add talent, you do it. White has a lot of potential to be great, and even if they have to figure out the lineup, nabbing him for a veteran forward would be a win for Sacramento.
In addition, Derrick Jones Jr. could be a big-time addition for the Kings after he’s available to play. He’s an explosive, versatile forward who’s turned himself into a solid NBA-level defender. Sacramento needs defenders, and if they develop Jones Jr. right, he could be that for them.

Troy Brown Jr. is more of a throw-in, but at only 22 years old, he still has the chance to turn himself into a quality NBA player. Flipping Harrison Barnes into three solid young players and a first-round pick would be a huge win for the Sacramento Kings.
