Draft Picks – Cleveland Cavaliers
The simple answer right now for who/what the Indiana Pacers should look to get back in a trade for any of their players is draft picks. Ownership may not want to go through a rebuild, but the Pacers really do not have any young assets that they can build around what looks to be their core of Malcolm Brogdon and Domantas Sabonis.
Chris Duarte and Isaiah Jackson are two promising looking rookies on this roster and Domantas Sabonis is only 25-years-old, but other young talents like Oshae Brissett, Goga Bitadze and Duane Washington Jr. do not look like long-term building blocks for this franchise.
Continuing to build through the draft is the only way the Pacers are going to get back to relevance in the Eastern Conference, especially since they are not going to be able to convince top of the line free agents to come play for them given all of the instability on this roster.
The Cleveland Cavaliers have been pursuing Caris LeVert since near the start of the season and it is said that he has “heavy fans” in the Cavaliers’ front-office. Even though Collin Sexton and Ricky Rubio are out for the year, Cleveland has sustained success this season and could still use another scorer on the wing.

Caris LeVert is not the best three-point shooter, but he is an aggressive scorer who can open up space on the floor given his ability to get to and score at the rim.
Cleveland is not the best three-point shooting team and could greatly benefit from adding a perimeter scorer, but their strengths are getting inside the paint on offense and protecting the paint on defense.
By trading Ricky Rubio, Dylan Windler and a draft pick or two, the Cavaliers can easily get this deal done, but the question that remains is if this is a deal the Pacers would be interested in?
Taking on Ricky Rubio’s contract does nothing for the Pacers this season since he suffered a torn ACL and is set to become an unrestricted free agent in the offseason, but they would be able to free up $17M in cap space right away, as well as add a first-round pick, which is what is said to be their asking price currently for LeVert.

Should the Indiana Pacers be interested in adding one or two first-round draft picks for Caris LeVert, the Cleveland Cavaliers should be very interested in agreeing to terms on this deal.
