Would this trade make sense for the Dallas Mavericks?
The Dallas Mavericks should make this trade 10 times out of 10. Things might be different if Reggie Bullock was the same 3&D player he was for the New York Knicks last year, but since he’s not, this trade would be very worth it for the Mavs.
Caris LeVert may not be a great three-point shooter, but he would be able to provide a lot for the Mavs. Outside of just his scoring, which would be huge for Dallas’ offense, LeVert could act as the secondary or tertiary ball-handler behind Luka Doncic.
Obviously, Jalen Brunson has been great in that role this season, but there are rumors that Dallas could look to trade him. While they could look to deal him for LeVert, this package might be enough. LeVert could be an extra ball-handler while sharing the floor with Doncic.
Tim Hardaway Jr. hasn’t been playing well this year, so getting another potential 20-point scorer in LeVert would definitely help take the pressure off of Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis. Again, just because he’s not a great three-point shooter doesn’t mean he can’t help.

Even if the Mavericks had to throw Brunson into this deal, it’s still one they could consider. LeVert is a solid scorer who could really help give the Mavericks’ offense more consistent production. This would be a good trade for them to pursue.
