Earlier this season it was reported that the Indiana Pacers would likely be selling most of their assets at the NBA trade deadline.
The list included Domantas Sabonis, Myles Turner, and Caris LeVert. As the trade deadline rapidly approaches, all three of those players still remain in Indiana.
Both Sabonis and Turner are dealing with fairly significant injuries right now, though. Turner suffered a stress reaction in his foot, but according to him, he could be ready to go soon (which goes against previous reports). As for Sabonis, he’s dealing with a sprained ankle, but it’s not nearly as problematic as Turner’s injury.
That just leaves LeVert, and according to various sources, he’s now the most likely of those three to be traded ahead of the deadline. LeVert has dealt with some injuries and other scares in the past few years, but he’s putting together a solid season.

His scoring could be a huge help on the right team, and one team that could use some more consistent scoring is the Dallas Mavericks. Their once amazing offense has regressed this year, and an extra scorer/ball-handler could be just what they need.
The only issue is, what package could the Mavericks put together to pry LeVert away from the Pacers? Would they be able to offer the best package? Why would the Pacers be interested in the deal, and why should the Mavs be willing to make the trade?
