Would this trade make sense for the Indiana Pacers?
For the Indiana Pacers, this deal is better than most fans might think. Caris LeVert is great, but the Pacers aren’t going to get any sort of young star back in return for him? A guy like Jalen Brunson could be included, but he’s not a guy to build your franchise around.
Instead, the Pacers would get two young players and two picks – one first and one second. Neither Josh Green nor Moses Brown has gotten many opportunities this year, but there’s definitely some potential there for each of them to grow.
Green played for Team Australia in the Olympics this past summer. And despite not getting consistent minus, Green has shown flashes. More specifically, he’s shown some real potential on the defensive side of the floor.
As for Brown, he played great for the Oklahoma City Thunder last year. This offseason, though, he was traded to the Boston Celtics and then to the Dallas Mavericks, where he’s now barely getting playing time. A move to Indiana could give him another chance to thrive.

Add in a couple of picks, and this isn’t too bad of a deal for the Pacers. If they want to completely reset and begin a rebuild, bringing in two fairly raw prospects would allow them to start over. Hopefully, that’s the path Indiana chooses to go, because they need a rebuild badly.
