Would this trade make sense for the Sacramento Kings?
For the Sacramento Kings, this would be a chance, as it would be for the Indiana Pacers, to give their organization a new look. The current core isn’t working, and while it’s still young, this trade would see them test out a new fit.
Domantas Sabonis is an elite offensive talent. While things haven’t worked out in Indiana, there’s no denying the impact he has on the offensive side of the floor. Plus, NBA rumors earlier this year revealed that Sabonis might “want out” of Indiana, so this would give him a fresh start.
The most important part of this deal, however, would be the Kings handing the keys to Tyrese Haliburton at the point guard position. He’s shown some amazing potential this year, so who knows how good he could be if the ball is in his hands even more.
Sacramento’s starting lineup after this potential trade could look something like this – Haliburton, Buddy Hield, Harrison Barnes, Sabonis, and Richaun Holmes. That’s a solid starting group for both right now, and for the future.

If the Kings wanted to take things a step further, they could even trade Hield and/or Barnes for younger pieces. Regardless of whatever route they take, the addition of Sabonis and the naming of Haliburton as the starting point guard would be a solid option for the Kings.
