Indiana Pacers Receive: G De’Aaron Fox, 2023 First-Round Pick (Lottery Protected), 2025 Second-Round Pick, 2027 Second-Round Pick
Sacramento Kings Receive: C Domantas Sabonis, F Torrey Craig
This is as close to a straight swap as it gets in the NBA nowadays.
The Indiana Pacers would get a tiny bit younger while also shaking things up, and the Sacramento Kings would change the make-up of their roster a bit by adding a new offensive focal point.
Domantas Sabonis has been to two straight All-Star games and is putting together another All-Star-caliber season. The 25-year-old big man is averaging 19.0 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 4.9 assists while shooting 57.7 percent from the field and 32.7 percent from three-point range.
De’Aaron Fox is having a bit of a down year in comparison to his breakout season last year. That being said, he’s still putting up solid numbers. Fox is averaging 21.0 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 5.2 assists while shooting 45.8 percent from the field and 24.8 percent from deep.

Torrey Craig would be thrown in in order to match salaries, but he’s actually playing fairly well for the Pacers this year. He’s a nice two-way wing, putting up 5.7 points and 3.6 rebounds while shooting 47.1 percent from the field and 30.3 percent from behind the arc.
This trade would give each franchise a chance to significantly shake things up, as their current cores aren’t performing up to par. But while change itself may be what’s needed for both squads, why would each team be interested in this deal in particular?
