How This Deal Impacts Miami Heat

The Miami Heat don’t seem to have the assets to pull off a blockbuster deal. They have limited assets, as Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro are their only real assets that would bring back anything of value.

If this deal was presented to them by the Utah Jazz, they would accept it in a heartbeat. This likely isn’t even a trade that would be accepted in NBA 2K, as the Heat are getting Donovan Mitchell for a lot less than he is worth.

Mitchell doesn’t bring the same defensive intensity or playmaking as Kyle Lowry, but adding a 25-year old of his caliber would be a no-brainer for the Heat. He is averaging 25.8 points, brings enough playmaking with 5.1 assists, grabs 3.8 rebounds and swipes 1.6 steals per game.

Landing him for a package of Lowry, Herro, Max Strus and 2028 second-round pick would be a heist for the Heat. Mitchell would pair with Jimmy Butler in the backcourt and combine for an intriguing Big 3 along with Adebayo.

Miami would be an even stronger contender adding Mitchell to the mix and would have another young budding star to build around for the future.
