The Utah Jazz is once again having a solid season. They are in third place in the Western Conference and have the third-best record in the NBA at 29-14. While they are finding success in the regular season, it is in the postseason they have fallen short.

Utah had the best record in the NBA last season but lost in the second round of the playoffs to the LA Clippers, who lost their best player, Kawhi Leonard, in Game 4. To find success in the playoffs, the Jazz has to lock in better defensively.

It is something their starting center, Rudy Gobert, recently made some comments about. He said that the Jazz isn’t at the same level as some of the other teams atop the standings in the Golden State Warriors and Phoenix Suns. Devin Booker, specifically, is who Gobert spoke highly about.

Targeting a player that can upgrade their starting five defensive is something the Jazz will do ahead of the NBA trade deadline.

While nothing is imminent, the fact that there is a preference list of where he would like to go should he request a trade isn’t encouraging. What could a deal between the Heat and Jazz look like? Let’s take a look at this hypothetical trade that lands Mitchell in South Beach.
