Things have not been going well in Sacramento this NBA season and this is really not surprising seeing as the Sacramento Kings have not made the playoffs for 15 consecutive seasons. Failure is a recurring theme for the Kings’ front-office and while they could certainly change the way things have been, it is highly unlikely.
De’Aaron Fox can only do so much for this franchise and unless they get him some more help, Sacramento is just destined for failure.
Tyrese Haliburton and Davion Mitchell look like two young, solid backcourt pieces next to Fox and Richaun Holmes is a key player in their frontcourt, but Buddy Hield, Harrison Barnes and Marvin Bagley III are trade bait this season.
All three players could be on the move ahead of the NBA trade deadline, with Bagley being the most likely of the three to be dealt. Since being drafted second overall by the Kings in 2018, Marvin Bagley III has been in and out of the rotation due to injuries, but also because of bad coaching decisions.

The Sacramento Kings have ruined their relationship with Bagley and his agent over the years to the point where Jeff Schwartz of Excel Sports Management released a statement on behalf of Bagley ahead of the season in response to the Kings not featuring the young forward in their rotations.
In the final year of his rookie deal, Marvin Bagley could draw a lot of interest at the trade deadline this season, much like he did last season.
While they are rebuilding and not really in the market for making big moves, the Oklahoma City Thunder could be a team that thinks long and hard about trading for Bagley.
