Does this trade make sense for the Sacramento Kings?

In no way does this trade make sense for the Sacramento Kings because they have nothing to gain from giving up Bagley to the Thunder. Being a former No. 2 overall pick, the Kings could definitely get some draft value for Marvin Bagley III in a trade this season and they could probably get a young talent or two from another team in this league for him.

Bagley has had his fair share of concerns through the years, but he is still only 22-years-old and possesses a ton of potential moving forward.

Mike Muscala and Kenrich Williams are both solid role players in this league, but what good do they really bring to Sacramento? Maybe they give this team some more depth, but the Kings have plenty of big men and are in no shape to contend for a playoff spot right now.

Neither of these players make a big difference in the Kings making the playoffs this season, which is why this trade does not make much sense for them.

Bagley’s value has declined from where it was at the trade deadline last season, but all-in-all, Sacramento can definitely get much better than what they would get from the Thunder in this proposal.
