Would this trade make sense for the Washington Wizards?

The benefit in this deal could be big for the Washington Wizards if Kyrie Irving is able to get on the court and stay there. This is not the first time that he will miss time with the Nets for issues that are not injury-related.

If Washington can get Irving on the court consistently, they would build an elite backcourt.

A duo of Irving and Beal is something to get excited about. Beal continues to be one of the best scorers in the game while Irving is a top point guard when he plays. This trade would only be worth it if Beal remains in town.

The Wizards have not seemed interested in moving Beal despite some rumors. Washington was able to sneak into the postseason with a strong duo last season.

This is where the top-heavy nature of the Eastern Conference could allow Washington to get comfortable near the bottom and fight for another postseason spot.
