CJ McCollum – Portland Trail Blazers
Damian Lillard has adamantly said that he is not going anywhere anytime soon and is going to work with management to fix the current problems the Trail Blazers have, but what about CJ McCollum?
We have not heard him say that he is staying in Portland long-term and this is because he cannot say this! McCollum has no idea where he is going to end up within the next few months and there is a really good chance that he could be the one to be traded because of how high his value is.
CJ McCollum is the Trail Blazers’ best trade asset outside of Damian Lillard and while he has never been an All-Star before, he puts up near All-Star-like numbers on the offensive-end of the floor.
So far this season, the now 9-year veteran guard is averaging 20.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, 4.5 assists and is shooting 42.4% from the floor, 39.3% from three-point range.

If he finishes the season averaging at least 20 points per game, this will mark the 7th straight season that CJ McCollum has accomplished such a feat.
One of the best shooting guards in the entire league and one of the best playmakers from the shooting guard position, CJ McCollum could make a positive difference for many teams in this league and could be someone the Pacers look to pair with Brogdon in the backcourt as part of a soft rebuild.
The Portland Trail Blazers need to find ways to improve defensively and add more overall talent to their roster, which is why they could leverage McCollum in trade talks with the Pacers for Myles Turner and possibly even Caris LeVert.
Being 30-years-old, there is definitely some cause for concern of how many years McCollum has left in his prime, but at the same time, he averaged a career-high in scoring last season (23.1 PPG) and has shown no signs of slowing down.
