While they have had a lot of talent on their roster over the years, the Indiana Pacers have been a very mediocre franchise that is now on the verge of rebuilding this NBA season. Currently 13-18 and on the outside of the playoff picture in the Eastern Conference, there is still time for the Pacers to turn things around, but their playoff hopes are diminishing quickly.
Malcolm Brogdon, Domantas Sabonis, Caris LeVert and Myles Turner are all high-level talents, but with T.J. Warren still out, T.J. McConnell out indefinitely and this team as a whole not having a whole lot of chemistry, it is looking like the Pacers could be “sellers” at the trade deadline this season.
Last week, The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported that the Indiana Pacers are moving toward rebuilding and are not only being receptive to trade offers for Caris LeVert and Myles Turner, but All-Star forward DOmantas Sabonis as well.
The trade deadline is on February 10 this season, giving the Pacers’ front-office time to figure out what they want to do, but with the Eastern Conference being the strongest it has been in recent memory, it is hard to believe that they will be able to turn things around.
