Does this trade make sense for the Indiana Pacers?
The Indiana Pacers are a very mediocre offensive team right now and while it may seem foolish for them to give up someone who they know can be a threat to score from the perimeter, Tomas Satoransky offers an upside as someone who can create a lot more space for others than Lamb can.
Where Jeremy Lamb is pretty much a stationary shooter on the perimeter, Satoransky is more of a crafty finisher in the lane and has proven the ability to be a key assist-man.
His 2.8 assist-to-turnover ratio from last season would rank second on the Indiana Pacers right now behind just T.J. McConnell and so far this year, he has continued to hang on to the basketball, as he has posted an assist-to-turnover ratio of 3.2 to begin the year.
Consistency at the point guard/shooting guard position is what the Pacers would get with Tomas Satoransky and the best part about trading for him is that he is in the final year of his contract. He is owed $500K less than that of Jeremy Lamb this season and would definitely receive more playing time than Lamb because of his ability to play on both ends of the floor.

Jeremy Lamb is a little bit of a liability defensively for the Pacers right now because he does not move as well, which is why trading him for any kind of role player makes sense.
Maybe this trade would be added onto a multi-team deal that would get done near the trade deadline, but seeing as neither team has anything to really lose, both the Indiana Pacers and New Orleans Pelicans should be interested in talking about this deal further.
