How This Trade Impacts Golden State Warriors
The Golden State Warriors have shown in the past that they are not afraid to go all in. If they believe a move will push them closer to winning a championship, they will do it. This hypothetical deal with the Kings accomplishes that.
Golden State is surrendering some of their better assets, as James Wiseman and Moses Moody were lottery picks in 2020 and 2021. But, if they are not ready to handle minutes for a contending team, the Warriors will have to make the tough decision of if they should find players who can.
This deal with the Warriors delivers them three. Harrison Barnes is having a career season, averaging 20.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.1 steals per game. His numbers will dip as he won’t be the go-to option with the Warriors, but he has experience in this role and his efficiency numbers should remain steady with defenses no longer keying in on him.
Buddy Hield would give the Warriors another long-range bomber to take some pressure off of Stephen Curry. Imagine trying to scheme a defense with a backcourt with the range and volume of Hield and Curry? Add Klay Thompson to that mix and it becomes even tougher to imagine.

Tyrese Haliburton is only in his second season in the NBA, but he proved last season when he finished second in the Rookie of the Year voting he is ready to contribute. His skill set enables him to be a quintessential glue guy on a contending team. He can fill numerous roles depending on the game situation that night.
The Warriors don’t add a fourth star to the mix, but they strengthen the rotation by adding three guys who can easily slot into the top eight. This is a deeper, more dangerous lineup with those additions.
