Why the Brooklyn Nets will not accept this trade
If you can come up with three reasons why the Brooklyn Nets should give up James Harden this year without Kyrie Irving on the team, then you truly are from the future. Trading Harden makes as much sense as it would make for the Bucks to trade Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Thunder for 10 first-round draft picks.
This is just a foolish idea to even be talking about because there is no chance that the Brooklyn Nets will ever trade James Harden!
Sure, CJ McCollum, Robert Covington, and Anfernee Simons are all great players, but they are not championship-level players like Harden is on the Nets roster currently.
If they were championship-level talents, then Portland would be in the NBA Finals conversation every year, which they are not other than Charles Barkley putting $100K on them to win it all a year or two ago.

The Portland Trail Blazers are a franchise in turmoil right now from both a front-office and on-the-court perspective, so why would James Harden want any part of this? He just escaped a bad situation in Houston and he is not going to want to relive that again, especially since he has a chance to win a title with Durant this year in Brooklyn.
Enough said about all this nonsense… The Brooklyn Nets are not trading James Harden.
