2. Atlanta Hawks
The Atlanta Hawks are looking to cement themselves among the upper echelon in the NBA. After making it to the Eastern Conference Finals last season, they want to show that it wasn’t a fluke.
They have one of the deeper teams in the NBA, which is good for the lengthy regular season. But, it wouldn’t hurt them to consolidate some of their talents into an upgrade. Brandon Ingram could be the upgrade that they are looking for.
The Hawks locked in Trae Young, John Collins, Kevin Huerter, and Clint Capela this offseason with new deals so that they will be part of their core going forward. Now, it is time for them to augment that core with another young, All-Star-caliber player and Ingram would fit the bill.
Inserting Ingram as the Hawks’ starting small forward would give Atlanta a young building block at every level of the lineup. Atlanta could part ways with some high-upside young players such as De’Andre Hunter, Onyeka Okongwu and Cam Reddish or established veterans in Danilo Gallinari or Bogdan Bogdanovic and not miss a beat. Atlanta owns all of their first-round picks going forward as well.

Not only would Ingram help the Hawks’ offense, taking pressure off of Young as a scorer and playmaker, but he would also provide Atlanta with a defensive presence they are sometimes lacking.
For an Atlanta Hawks team looking to make a splash and hang with the big boys in the conference, acquiring Brandon Ingram would go a long way in accomplishing that.
