He has blossomed since being acquired by the Pelicans from the Los Angeles Lakers in the Anthony Davis blockbuster trade and turned himself into one of the best young forwards in the NBA.
He can score from every level offensively and is a premier point forward. His defense is also above average, providing the Pelicans with a two-way player on the wing that teams around the league covet.
With the Pelicans desperate to make the postseason, there was some chatter during the offseason about them swinging a big trade to shake things up. Brandon Ingram was mentioned in some of those rumors, as the 24-year old could be included in a package to land virtually anyone in the NBA.
