The Portland Trail Blazers could be considered the Indiana Pacers of the Western Conference. They are both steady teams that are perennial playoff contenders, but when it comes to making some noise in the postseason, they fall short.
Portland has been eliminated in the first round of the postseason in four out of the last five years. Indiana hasn’t advanced beyond the first round since 2014. Both teams could use a shakeup and could match up on a deal.
Bringing in Domantas Sabonis is something that would provide a spark for the Portland Trail Blazers and their fan base. His father, Arvydas Sabonis, played the entirety of his Hall of Fame career in the NBA in Portland and they would assuredly welcome his son with open arms.
Domantas has developed into one of the best big men in the NBA. You can run the offense through him as he is an adept playmaker. He scores efficiently, shooting 52.7 percent from the field in his career. He won’t hurt you at the foul line and is a monster rebounder.
