Does this trade make sense for the Oklahooma City Thunder?
Right now, nobody really knows what the Oklahoma City Thunder are going to look to do with all of their draft picks, but at some point, they will be willing to trade some picks away for key talents to add to their roster.
One of these players that could help them now and in the future is Coby White, hence why they could be interested in sacrificing some draft picks for him if Chicago is willing to trade him.
All Coby White has done since he was drafted in the first round by the Bulls in 2019 is score with or without the ball always being in his hands, which is why he could be a valuable backcourt talent next to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Oklahoma City is rebuilding and as a result, they just need young talents to build with.
Coby White brings experience as a starting guard in this league, would complement SGA pretty well given his abilities to be an on or off-ball guard and he is only 21-years-old.

With there being no long-term problems presented from his offseason shoulder surgery, White seems like a perfect fit in the Thunder’s system.
The Thunder are going to be looking to move Derrick Favors at some point this season, as he is a veteran player that does not fit into their rebuild, which is why leveraging him and a first-round pick for a young, emerging guard like Coby White makes sense for the Oklahoma City Thunder.
