Oklahoma City Thunder Receive: G Coby White, CHI 2026 2nd Round Pick
Chicago Bulls Receive: F/C Derrick Favors, MIA 2023 1st Round Pick (Top-14 Protected, via OKC), CHA 2024 2nd Round Pick (via OKC)
The Bulls have been great to begin the new season, but their one weakness looks to be their frontcourt depth.
Outside of Nikola Vucevic, Chicago does not really have any reliable centers on their roster and they could wind up struggling against bigger teams in this league because of the fact that they play Patrick Williams and DeMar DeRozan at the power-forward position.
Adding Derrick Favors is definitely a move the Bulls could be interested in making, not only because he is under contract this year and has a player option for next season, but because of what he can do for them at either frontcourt position.
Now in his 12th season in the NBA, Favors has always been a strong rebounder in this league and over the last four seasons coming into the 2021-22 season, the veteran big man had averaged 7.3 total rebounds per game and 2.6 offensive rebounds per game. Being a menace crashing the glass on both ends of the court, Favors could create energy for this Bulls team off-the-bench, which is what they need.

As for Coby White, he has been really solid during his first two seasons in Chicago, averaging 14.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists and shooting 35.7% from three-point range, but the Bulls could have a tough time getting him involved in their rotations when he returns from injury.
Lonzo Ball and Zach LaVine are their two starters in the backcourt and with Alex Caruso playing so well defensively, White’s value for this team has declined slightly.
The offensive production he would give them is definitely better than that of Caruso, but the Bulls need some more defensive-minded players on their bench to complement their All-Stars.

The Oklahoma City Thunder are always looking to add young talents to their roster and at the expense of one first-round pick and a player they are looking to trade, they can add a really solid, young talent to pair with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in their backcourt for the foreseeable future.
