Does this trade make sense for the Indiana Pacers?
Oshae Brissett is nothing more than a bench player for the Indiana Pacers and as for Jeremy Lamb, they are going to be looking to move him in the final year of his contract for any kind of value they can get, especially after they just drafted Chris Duarte.
Speaking of Duarte, he was fantastic in his NBA debut, scoring 27 points for the Pacers, so this gives the Indiana Pacers even more of a reason to trade Lamb now.
At the expense of two bench players and a protected future first-round pick, getting Thaddeus Young from the Spurs would be a really good deal for the Indiana Pacers because right now, their biggest enemy is themselves.
Injuries have plagued this team throughout the years and while they can get away with LeVert and Warren being sidelined at the moment, they cannot afford to lose either Sabonis or Turner.

With both of these guys playing a lot of minutes because the Pacers do not have many other options in their frontcourt, this team is susceptible to wear and tear, which is where Young would come in. Whether their guys are injured or not, Thaddeus Young would be a “security blanket” for the Indiana Pacers and a pretty good one too.
He can score, facilitate, defend multiple positions and is still an impactful role player either in or out of the starting lineup, which is why bringing back Young makes a lot of sense for the Pacers to do. Plus, Thad Young is in the final year of his contract, so they would not have to worry about paying him long-term.

Trading a draft pick and two bench players for a one-year rental of a really solid frontcourt player with prior team experience is not a bad trade whatsoever for the Indiana Pacers and the fans would definitely support this move.
