Goran Dragic would surely like to contend for a championship as he has been doing with the Miami Heat but will be unable to do so as a member of the Toronto Raptors. Meanwhile, the Raptors would benefit from prioritizing the development of younger players.

Overall, the situation the Raptors currently face with Goran Dragic is one that will surely end in either a trade or a buyout agreement at some point.

If the Raptors want a stop-gap option for the 2022-23 season in addition to this season, a trade for Eric Bledsoe would provide precisely that. However, they wouldn’t be tied to it if the plan changed considering he only has $3.9 million in guaranteed salary for that year.

If the Raptors felt as though Malachi Flynn is ready to take on a big role behind Fred VanVleet, it would be a simple process to move on from Bledsoe.
