Does this trade make sense for Golden State Warriors?
If the Golden State Warriors were to add Bradley Beal, they would without question be the team to beat in the Western Conference, even against the likes of the Los Angeles Lakers with LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony, and other former All-Stars.
A scoring trio of Steph Curry, Bradley Beal, and Klay Thompson would be lethal and virtually impossible to stop, plus the Warriors would still have Draymond Green, Andre Iguodala, Otto Porter Jr., Jordan Poole, and Kevon Looney as key talents on their bench. Adding Beal to this team makes them a title favorite once again, but at what cost?
When Thompson returns to this team, the Warriors are going to have a championship-caliber roster with Andrew Wiggins on the wing, James Wiseman in the frontcourt, and Jonathan Kuminga as a building block on their bench, so investing their future into Bradley Beal, who is 28-years-old, may not be the best decision this franchise can make.
The Warriors have won a title with just Curry, Thompson, and Green before and they can most definitely do so again, especially if they can remain healthy. At full strength, Andrew Wiggins is a terrific third scoring option for this team to have and at a smaller price, maybe Golden State can upgrade their scoring depth at the trade deadline.

While going after a player like Bradley Beal certainly has huge advantages for the Warriors’ chances of winning a title this year, it ultimately hurts their chances of contending for one 6-7+ years down the line.
James Wiseman and Andrew Wiggins both have All-Star potential moving forward and Jonathan Kuminga could also one day turn into a two-way star in this league which is why the Warriors would be smart to believe in their three future Hall-of-Famers they have right now to contend for a title while also developing their future on the side.
