He Can Fix The Spacing Issues
Any team with Stephen Curry on it is going to be a good 3-point shooting team overall. With Andrew Wiggins improving his jump shot as well, it helped the Golden State Warriors finish top-9 in the NBA in 3-point percentage, makes, and attempts per game.
But, it wasn’t all positive for the Warriors on offense. Getting Klay Thompson back in the fold will certainly help, but the team finished 20th in the NBA in offensive rating last season.
There is only so much one player in Curry can do as only four other Warriors scored in double-figures last season. Rookie James Wiseman, who averaged 11.5 points per game, was the only big man on the list.
Completing a trade with the Dallas Mavericks for Kristaps Porzingis would help change that. 14.3 points per game, as a rookie, is the fewest points he averaged for a season. He can score the ball and do it from multiple spots on the court.

Standing 7’3”, he has a length advantage over virtually everyone that tries to defend him inside the 3-point line. He is also one of the best shooting bigs in the NBA, knocking down 36.1 percent of his 3-point attempts in his career and 37.6 percent last season.
Having a bonafide, go-to scorer in the frontcourt will help the Warriors balance things out and take more pressure off of Curry.
