The Detroit Pistons have made it clear that they want to get rid of veteran names that might not be part of the future. That is what Josh Jackson could be with other options like Saddiq Bey projecting as being much cleaner fits alongside No. 1 overall pick Cade Cunningham.
It is unknown what the value is around Jackson but the Pistons should take what they can get. The Knicks would send away some lesser assets in a deal such as this one.
Kevin Knox would lead the way. He has been a complete bust in New York and the Knicks can include him in any package moving forward. Some second-round draft capital would finish the return going back to Detroit.
Jackson has not lived up to the expectations that came with being the No. 4 overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. However, he is coming off a career-year with averages of 13.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.3 assists during his first campaign as a member of the Detroit Pistons.

The Knicks could take a chance on Jackson to see if he could be a thriving fit alongside Julius Randle and RJ Barrett. He will need to improve his perimeter shooting as he converted at just a 30.0% clip from deep but can bring athleticism and the versatility that comes with that.
