Would this trade make sense for the New York Knicks?
Josh Jackson has played for three teams in his short NBA career so this is not the move for a superstar that the Knicks could look to make. When looking at it, Jackson is still a player who can score and would bring depth to New York. The return would be small and the Knicks could take advantage of a short-term option.
Knox is not going to be able to figure it out in New York. This is a chance for the Knicks to finally find a deal to move him. Jackson is averaging 12.3 points per game over the course of his career.
The Knicks lineup is rock solid with the addition of Fournier and Walker but Jackson could be a bench piece that brings versatility and depth. This is what the Knicks have lacked over the years and is one of the reasons they have not been able to build a winner.
New York is at a point where they need to continue to add professional-level players in hopes of staying near the top of the Eastern Conference.
