2. Bobby Portis, Milwaukee Bucks
Last offseason, Bobby Portis entered free agency off a solid season with the New York Knicks. Some teams were interested in him, but he wanted to sign with the Milwaukee Bucks and took less money to do so.
It turned out to be an excellent decision. Portis was a key member of the Bucks bench and helped them win their first NBA Championship in 50 years. He shot the ball excellently, knocking down 52.3 percent of his shots and 47.1 percent of his 3-point attempts. His per-36 averages of 19.8 points and 12.2 rebounds speaks to how much of an impact he made.
With a championship ring on his resume, coupled with his performance, Portis was ready to cash in during free agency after declining his player option. Well, Milwaukee got a steal once again.
Portis re-upped with Milwaukee, signing a two-year, $8.9 million deal with a player option for the second season. Once again, Portis left money on the table to remain with the Bucks and try to repeat as NBA champs.

When you consider that Kelly Olynyk signed a three-year, $37 million deal and Zach Collins, who has struggled to stay healthy, secured a two-year, $22 million deal, the Bucks have one of the biggest steals of the offseason in Portis.
