NBA Rumors
NBA Analysis Network

The NBA offseason is one of the wildest times in the sports calendar and 2021 was hectic once again. While we didn’t see as many blockbuster trades as rumors were swirling around about, there were plenty of transactions and player movement.

The 2021 NBA Draft saw a ton of trades made as teams maneuvered around the draft board to find value, some cap relief and future assets. The biggest trade of the draft, and thus far this offseason, was the Los Angeles Lakers landing Russell Westbrook from the Washington Wizards.

Big names such as Bradley Beal, Damian Lillard and Ben Simmons had their names mentioned in rumors, but as of right now, they are all still with the same teams. The same cannot be said for some of the biggest free agents available.

It was a point guard carousel this offseason, as Kyle Lowry, Lonzo Ball, Devonte’ Graham, Dennis Schroder, Kemba Walker and Goran Dragic all ended up with new teams. There were a lot of sign-and-trades completed, as that is how four of the aforementioned names landed in new cities.

DeMar DeRozan was also acquired in a sign-and-trade, landing with the Chicago Bulls along with Ball. Lauri Markkanen and Josh Hart remain on the board and could also be on the move via sign-and-trade.

Every offseason some players land some eye-popping deals whether it is because it is under market value or much higher than anticipated. This offseason there were a lot of great deals signed, but these are the five best signings in NBA free agency ranked.
