Lonzo Ball returns to the New Orleans Pelicans

Ahead of the 2021 NBA Draft, the New Orleans Pelicans conducted a trade with the Memphis Grizzlies.

New Orleans sent the No. 10 overall pick, the No. 40 overall pick, Steven Adams, and Eric Bledsoe for Jonas Valanciunas, the No. 17 overall pick, and the No. 51 overall pick.

Some believed that the Pelicans were going to seek a point guard with the 10th overall selection, but after trading it, maybe their plans for Lonzo Ball have changed.

Reports have suggested that New Orleans won’t match any significant offers that Ball receives, given the fact he is a restricted free agent.

Even with a handful of teams pursuing the talented two-way point guard once free agency begins, Ball returns to the Pelicans alongside Brandon Ingram, Zion Williamson, and the newly acquired Valanciunas.
