Portland Trail Blazers

Ever since the NBA trade rumors surrounding Kevin Love began years ago, the Portland Trail Blazers have always been considered a potential landing spot.

The duo of Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum was one of the best guard duos in the NBA, they just needed help from their front court. However, even with Portland undergoing changes this offseason, the Trail Blazers still seem like a modest fit for the veteran power forward.

It remains to be seen if both Lillard and McCollum are back with Portland next season following another first-round exit. Plus, the team fired Terry Stotts in favor of Chauncey Billups, meaning that roster changes could be on the horizon.

While Love wouldn’t improve the Trail Blazers on the defensive end, he does give them a capable floor-spacing big that has made 36.9% of his threes in the past three years.

As Portland hopes to convince Lillard to remain with the franchise, adding Love for a cheap price — along with making other moves — could be enough to have a semi-successful offseason.
