Oklahoma City Thunder
The Oklahoma City Thunder are undoubtedly a team that is building with a long-term goal in mind as they possess nearly a million draft picks through the 2027 season.
To be exact, the Thunder have 38 total draft picks through the 2027 season, including 17 first-round selections. Given the current state of Oklahoma City’s franchise, not many free agents are going to want to sign with them due to them not being a contender in the Western Conference.
But for the Thunder, they could add unwanted veterans, similar to what they did in the Kemba Walker trade. While Walker could very well be traded again by Oklahoma City, it would be a win-win situation for them to conduct a trade for Kevin Love.
Love fills a need at the power forward position for the Thunder and the team would likely add another future first-round pick to their collection since the Cavaliers would need to do so to get rid of Love’s contract.

Being able to add a championship-winning forward in Love would be beneficial to Oklahoma City. At the same time, maybe Love could find his footing again with a team like the Thunder.
