Milwaukee Bucks: Robert Covington
The Milwaukee Bucks winning the 2021 NBA Championship is evidence that they have a deep, talented roster. However, it is very difficult to stay on top as rosters will change every season. That could be the case with Milwaukee as well.
The Bucks have key rotation pieces that will be on the free-agent market this summer. P.J. Tucker is an unrestricted free agent and Bobby Portis, who has a $3.8 million player option, is likely to join him.
Both played well for the Bucks during their playoff run and it would be very tough to replace. But, one player the team could target to help offset their potential losses is Robert Covington.
Depending on what the Portland Trail Blazers do this offseason, Covington could be made available. If he is, the Bucks would be smart to target him, as his defensive versatility would fit in the starting five in place of Tucker. The Tennessee State product offers excellent perimeter or interior defense, as he can defend all five positions on the court. He has averaged at least one steal and block per game for three consecutive seasons.
