Indiana Pacers: Gordon Hayward

The Indiana Pacers have one of the most popular trade targets in the NBA on their roster in Myles Turner. The shot-blocking extraordinaire could be on the move this offseason as the Pacers decide what to do with their frontcourt pairing of him and Domantas Sabonis.

One team that needs a center is the Charlotte Hornets. If the Hornets engage the Pacers in trade talks, the Pacers could target Gordon Hayward in their return package.

The Pacers have been after Hayward for a while now. They tried to trade for him last year, offering the Boston Celtics Turner, a rotation player and a first-round pick in exchange for Hayward. The Celtics turned that deal down. Maybe, Indiana would have more success this time around acquiring Hayward from the Hornets.

Hayward would be a great fit for the Pacers at their small forward spot. His 3-point shooting would help open things up for an offense that was middle of the pack in 3-point categories last season. He is also a very good playmaker, which would give Indiana four excellent passers in their starting lineup.

A trade to the Pacers would also be a homecoming for Hayward, who was born in Indianapolis and played collegiately at Butler.
