2. Kawhi Leonard Heads To Broadway
Kawhi Leonard is the biggest fish in the free-agent market this offseason. Despite injuring his knee during the LA Clippers’ second-round matchup with the Utah Jazz, which resulted in ACL surgery, he will assuredly receive a max contract.
After so many swings and misses in free agency, the Knicks will finally land a superstar in free agency and steal Leonard away from the Clippers. After reports surfaced that they did not even offer Kevin Durant a max contract two years ago when he was injured heading into free agency, New York will not make that mistake twice.
The Knicks will have Collin Sexton, RJ Barrett and Julius Randle leading the way this season with Leonard joining the fray once he is recovered from his knee operation. With a deep roster and plenty of draft capital still remaining, the Knicks could make another move for a difference-maker after securing a commitment from Leonard.
1. Ben Simmons Stays In Philadelphia
When the Philadelphia 76ers were eliminated from the postseason, all of the attention turned to what they will do with Ben Simmons. Simmons struggled once again offensively and a change of scenery looked like it would be best for him.
The organization has reportedly begun having trade talks centered around Simmons. While plenty of teams will be interested in acquiring him, the 76ers will ultimately hold onto him for at least one more season.
Simmons’ value is the lowest it has ever been in his career, which the 76ers will learn the hard way from the trade discussions they will have. No one of James Harden’s caliber, whom the 76ers were being asked to part ways with in exchange for Ben Simmons, will be offered this time around.

Instead, Philadelphia will tweak its roster and make adjustments with its schemes in hopes of getting over the hump next season with Simmons in the fold.
