Damian Lillard being sent to any team would be the ultimate blockbuster this offseason. Being sent to a team like the Magic would be a complete shock and one that could change the course of their franchise.
The Magic would have to pay for Lillard and would do it in a big way. Orlando does not have an established premiere young player to offer in a potential trade but Cole Anthony did show some intriguing potential during his rookie campaign last season.
Orlando currently holds two picks in the top eight of the 2021 NBA Draft. They would have to send both of those picks, along with three others and a first-round swap in the future.
Markelle Fultz and Gary Harris would be backcourt members going back to Portland while Mo Bamba would attempt to improve the frontcourt. Trail Blazers would mostly be taking on Fultz and Harris for salary matching purposes. Harris is set to play on an expiring deal while Fultz still has a few years remaining but could be a ‘buy-low’ option.

Bamba could be an intriguing option for the Trail Blazers when considering the team has failed to receive even close to acceptable levels of defensive contributions from the center position. It could take some time, but he could develop into being a high-level rim protector if given more opportunity.
