Does this trade make sense for the Denver Nuggets?

The Denver Nuggets have been right there over the last few years but have not been able to come out of the Western Conference. They have been bested by teams with more star power and that is why they could look for a trade to add another player.

Butler has shown some ability in the biggest moments and that is beneficial to a winning team. Most importantly, he would offer the Nuggets an elite wing defensive presence that can check the opposing team’s best perimeter initiator.

Jamal Murray might miss the duration of the regular season next year, or at least most of it. While the Nuggets could be looking for a veteran point guard to plug in, Butler is another perimeter player that would help right away.

Butler has experience playing with an impact big man so the pairing with Nikola Jokic should work well. There would have to be a plan with Butler. Denver would have a difficult offense to defend here but they would have to make sure that personalities do not clash.

It is time that the Nuggets come out of the Western Conference. They have that dynamic duo and could look to add the third star in hopes of competing with the other top teams in the West.
