Worst Fit: Miami Heat
It has been well-documented that the Miami Heat want a third star player to pair with Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo. Pat Riley has never been one to remain content, which puts the Heat in the driver seat to sign one of the big-name free agents this offseason.
The Heat could also be active on the trade market as they intend to build a contending roster that can help them return to the NBA Finals.
While Butler and Adebayo are skilled players, neither of them are efficient scorers from deep. With that in mind, making DeMar DeRozan the third option behind Butler and Adebayo makes little to no sense.
If the Heat were to sign DeRozan, where is the shooting coming from, especially if Duncan Robinson isn’t re-signed?

The Heat aren’t in the business of making risks as they are attempting to contend for a title. Signing DeRozan to a roster with a dynamic duo of Butler and Adebayo seems far from ideal in today’s NBA.
