Best Fit: Los Angeles Clippers
Speaking of a sign-and-trade, the Los Angeles Clippers have been rumored as a team with preliminary interest in DeMar DeRozan.
The Clippers don’t have the cap space to sign DeRozan outright, meaning they’d need to part ways with some of their assets to land the four-time All-Star.
Unlike the Warriors though, it would be worth the risk for the Clippers to acquire DeRozan via a sign-and-trade. Of course, this is assuming that Kawhi Leonard returns to Los Angeles next season.
After undergoing surgery on a partially torn ACL, Leonard isn’t expected to be ready for the start of next season. While Paul George performed well in the absence of Leonard in the playoffs, the Clippers need another playmaker and a third scoring option.

The Clippers can retain some of their efficient shooters from this season and possibly add more, which would help DeRozan fit in better with the makeup of the roster.
A trio of Leonard, George, and DeRozan may be enough to finally get the Clippers over the hump.
