Good Fit: Dallas Mavericks
When conjuring up a list of ideal fits for DeMar DeRozan, the Dallas Mavericks appear to be a perfect landing spot. It won’t be long before the Mavericks move on from Kristaps Porzingis and Dallas needs another ball handler to pair with Luka Doncic.
The Mavericks have a few capable three-point shooters on their roster and they could add more of them this offseason.
Provided that, Dallas doesn’t need DeRozan to be a lights-out outside scorer, but rather a mid-range threat that can create for others.
DeRozan isn’t going to address the Mavericks’ need for rim protection, as he could end up being their small-ball power forward. But at the least, he would take pressure off of Doncic and give them someone else to run their offense through.

As Dallas enters a new era with Jason Kidd as head coach, signing DeRozan and improving the roster around him and Doncic would be a step in the right direction.
