New York Knicks
With how well he played the second half of the season, the New York Knicks are the most ideal fit for Derrick Rose in free agency this summer. The Knicks went 25-10 with Rose during the regular season as he became an integral part of the team’s success.
After a difficult first stint with the team, everything came together this time around. He was rejuvenated and motivated playing for his old head coach, Tom Thibodeau. He has spoken highly of New York City and the organization.
Adding another point guard to take over as the starter shouldn’t deter the Knicks from re-signing Rose as well. Rose is a perfect fit for the Knicks as their sixth man. He is a great mentor for Immanuel Quickley and built some good chemistry with him off the bench.
As the old saying goes, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it, and that applies to Rose and the Knicks. They make for an excellent pair and it will take a lot to pry him away from the team in free agency.
