The Miami Heat will have some tough decisions to make when it comes to filling out their roster this NBA offseason. With multiple free agents and players with options, the team could look a lot different for the beginning of the 2021-22 season than it did when the 2020-21 season ended.
Arguably the biggest concern heading into the offseason will be the point guard position. Long-time starter, Goran Dragic, has an expensive $19.4 million team option that they could decline.
The Heat could open some much-needed space, declining his option, but they would run the risk of having zero point guards on the roster because Kendrick Nunn is also hitting free agency.
Nunn, the team’s other point guard, is entering restricted free agency and could prince himself out of Miami. If a team comes with a big offer sheet, Miami would be hard-pressed to accept because of their salary cap constraints.

Losing even one of them would create a big hole in the team’s depth, as they both have provided good production during their time with the franchise. Luckily for Miami, there are a plethora of point guards available this offseason.
