Does this trade make sense for the LA Clippers?
The LA Clippers have decisions to make in the offseason. Kawhi Leonard will likely opt out of his deal but this is surely a business move to renegotiate with the Clippers.
There is no belief that Leonard will sign with another team but the front office could decide to shake things up a bit. However, he could end up being sidelined for much of the 2021-22 season and the Clippers could face an opportunity to rebuild on the fly.
Paul George was a main cog in the run to the Western Conference Finals this season. This would be a prime opportunity for the Clippers to sell-high after his impressive playoff run. When Leonard went down, George took over and became the leader on both ends of the floor.
There were rumors spreading around the NBA regarding the Clippers possibly deciding to blow things up if they did not reach the finals, and it will be interesting to see if they do.
In this particular deal, Wiggins and Wiseman would the rotation-ready players right away for Los Angeles. Along with draft capital, the Clippers could add some intriguing prospects moving forward.

Even if this deal is made, it does not change the fact that the Clippers are attempting to win right away. Leonard is a store and the lady again when they could keep them at the top of the conference as long as he is in town.
