Cost Should Be Lower
Anyone that watched the Philadelphia 76ers in the playoffs knows that Ben Simmons struggled. He was a mess offensively, seemingly afraid to shoot whenever he had the ball in his hands. It led to some stagnation on the offensive end for the 76ers and an early exit from the postseason.
Simmons isn’t the only reason that Philadelphia was eliminated by the Atlanta Hawks in seven games in round two, but he is a big reason why. Given how things shook out, this is as low as his value has ever been, meaning the price should be lower to acquire him in a trade.
Last year Simmons was involved in trade talks for James Harden. He is who the Houston Rockets insisted on being involved in any Harden deal but the 76ers balked at it and Harden ended up with the Brooklyn Nets.
A player of Harden’s caliber will no longer be on the table in trade talks involving Simmons.

That is something the Bulls should try and take advantage of as the price for acquiring a multi-time All-Star and All-NBA Defensive Team player will never be this low again.
