San Antonio Spurs

It felt weird to see the San Antonio Spurs miss the playoffs for the second consecutive year this season, which was the first time that had happened in their illustrious franchise’s history.

While Greg Popovich continues to coach the Spurs, the team will be looking to put together a contending roster once more this offseason. With DeMar DeRozan expected to leave in free agency, San Antonio has some gaps to fill on their roster.

That being said, the organization is confident in Keldon Johnson and Devin Vassell developing into a prominent starter at small forward. But following the buyout of LaMarcus Aldridge earlier this season, the Spurs have been hurting at the power forward position.

By making a move for Pascal Siakam, San Antonio would be getting a versatile forward that could give them solutions to some of their questions. In all likeliness, Siakam would slide to power forward on the Spurs, unless Johnson or Vassell was needed to complete a trade.

San Antonio has a few young pieces in Johnson, Vassell, Derrick White, and Lonnie Walker that could interest the Raptors. Even though the Spurs aren’t known for making many blockbuster moves for a player, they could make an exception for Siakam.
