Re-sign Duncan Robinson

Efficient three-point shooters don’t grow on trees and Duncan Robinson has evolved into one of the NBA’s premier shooters for the Miami Heat.

Following a quiet rookie season in 2018-19, Robinson burst onto the scene in 2019-20, posting 13.5 points per game on 44.6 percent shooting from outside the three-point line. The Michigan product would follow that up with 13.1 points on 40.8 percent shooting from beyond the arc in 2020-21.

Amid his impressive run, Duncan Robinson also set an NBA record by becoming the fastest player to convert 500 three-pointers, doing so in only 152 games.

Having a three-point marksman that puts pressure on opposing defenses is a valuable commodity in today’s league. Robinson’s ability to move around screens, get open, and knock down shots is needed for the Heat.

Unlike Nunn, Robinson is a restricted free agent that Miami should do everything in their power to bring back. It would be a challenge for the Heat to replace the shooting production that Robinson brings the table.
