Let Kendrick Nunn Walk In Free Agency
Back in 2019, the Miami Heat struck gold when they were able to sign Kendrick Nunn to a three-year, $3 million deal. A lot has changed since that time to change the scope of the situation.
Nunn was previously with the Golden State Warriors with their G-League affiliate, only to be waived by the Warriors in 2018. In his rookie season with Miami, Kendrick Nunn recorded 15.3 points and 3.3 assists per game while starting in 67 games for the organization. He played a vital role in helping the Heat advance to the NBA Finals.
Nunn would follow his stellar rookie season up with a productive year this season, notching 14.6 points and 2.6 assists in 44 starts. The Chicago native would improve his efficiency from beyond the arc, shooting an impressive 38.1 percent in 2020-2021.
While Nunn’s offensive abilities are well-documented, he is a liability on the defensive end.

Seeing that Nunn is a restricted free agent, Miami can match any offer that is given to him. But with certain teams likely prepared to give Nunn a decent raise, the Heat should be content letting Kendrick Nunn walk in free agency.
